April 16 2011:
I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me shall live. John 11:25
Easter greetings! We are thankful for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross and celebrate His resurrection victory. We praise God for you as we send write this update on the following items.
Ministry opportunities
Praise God for how He has worked and is working in the following ministry opportunities:
· Dick co-facilitated a Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills Workshop in March at TEAM mission headquarters for staff and Moody students.
· He has an increasingly active role as mission's coach for the next generation of missionaries as he works alongside Dave Childers, the WorldVenture director of the central region of the US. In the past week he was able to connect a future missionary with a construction opportunity with the Japanese churches as they seek to minister to the hurting in Japan.
· He met with key people from the Spanish American Mission in March. The next step in the process is a trip to Mexico May 4-18 in order to build a leadership team for the training program for pastors in the region of Torreon. The goal is for the new students to begin studying by September, 2011.
Lori's studies
Lori is happy to be finishing the spring semester of the MA counseling ministries program at Wheaton Graduate School and preparing to register for fall semester which includes a counseling internship.
Praise for provision
It has been confirmed that we can continue to rent the house owned by Windy City Community Church! Earlier this year we were uncertain as to where we would be living.
Prayer requests
· Dick's trip to Mexico-for safety while he meets with the pastors. The region of Torreon is a focal point of conflict between drug cartels.
· For new ministry partners who are willing to pray and contribute financially.
Financial needs
We are excited by the ministry opportunities but becoming more stressed because of the following needs:
· We need $1500 more per month in order to continue to minister. Our living expenses are also affected because our salary is the first item that is decreased when we are under supported.
· We also need to build up funds to replace our 1995 Buick which has more than 207,000 miles.
· Thank you to those who have increased the amount of giving towards our ministry!
· If you would like to contribute toward our financial support you can go to www.worldventure.com, click on “donate” and “Dick and Lori Greenman”.
We would love to receive an update from you. :-) If you would like to contact us you can write to our home address: 6120 N. Navarre Ave,, Chicago,IL 60631 or rdg358@gmail.com phone: 773-355-9633.
